CATARACT CANYON THREE

NIGHT MOTOR TRIP

Cataract Canyon is located in the heart of Canyonlands National Park. This trip travels through one of the most beautiful canyons in the West.

It also contains some of the premier whitewater in the West. This trip is appropriate for both first time river runners and experienced river runners.

Our 3 night trip offers a unique blend of excitement and solitude. You also have the opportunity to experience western outdoor cooking and hospitality at its finest.

The first morning of your trip you will be shuttled to the river. Here you will meet your guide and have a orientation/safety meeting then begin your trip.

The first part of your trip is a leisurely float through beautiful sandstone canyons. Along this stretch you will stop at side canyons to hike to Indian Ruins, and other scenic areas.

Fourty-nine miles down river you will come to the confluence of the Green and Colorado Rivers. This is the beginning of Cataract Canyon which contains some of the greatest whitewater in the West including Capsize, Little Niagara, and Satan’s Gut.

The last morning of your trip you will be at Hite Marina. From here you have the option to either fly by plane back to Moab or have your vehicle shuttled to meet you at Hite.
